One thing we did that the kids loved was pretzel stick crayons. We wrapped pretzel rods in construction paper colored to look like a crayon wrapper and then dipped the ends in matching candy melts. I also made the cake to look like a box of crayons and ordered crayon plates, hats, etc from Crayola. The kids had a blast! The best part was we got everything; crayons and coloring books for the kids, etc dirt cheap at the back to school sales! We did a crayon theme for my son’s 1st bday (he’ll be 5 soon).
