Victory is Ours, Daddy is in control & Kelly Ripa.

    Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Rob Lowe and Ex-Nanny are both claiming victory in court today.  The counts were dismissed against Jessica Gibson, the Lowe’s ex-Nanny while one count against Lowe was dismissed.  Their day in court is not over.  There are still additional claims that both parties have active in court.

Brittany Spears  did not retain control of her affairs today.  Her father will continue to be conservator of her affairs until the end of the year.  Brittany has seemed to flourish and is finally getting her life back on track.  I have a feeling her father and his guidance have a lot to do with that.

    Kelly_ripa

Kelly Ripa has a lot on her plate but that does not mean she lets other people do her parenting.  Kelly talked about how her and husband Mark Consuelos try and maintain a 50/50 parenting share. While Mark is more patient with the children Kelly is much more lenient.  She also talked about how important it is to her that she is there for her children’s important moments in their lives.  Kelly does one heck of a juggling act, 3 children, 3 jobs and a husband.

How do you juggle your life?  Do you and your husband have a similar game plan as Kelly and Mark? Please come over to Blissfully Domestic Forums to discuss.

Jessica is a WAHM who juggles work, family and some how finds time to blog at It’s My Life Laugh If You Must and A Wealth of Knowledge as well as writing for Blissfully Domestic.

Diary of a Fitness Flunky: Three Weeks

    Thursday, July 31st, 2008

    J0402321
It’s been three weeks since I last updated this diary o’ mine.  I wish I could say that I haven’t updated because I’ve been so busy with going to the gym and pilates and healthy eating that I haven’t had time to write.

Partially that is true.  I have been busy.  I have been busy with life, my kids, my health, my hobbies. Making time for exercise has been at the bottom of my priority list, though.

This seems to be an ongoing theme with me and fitness goals.  I WANT to be healthier, have more energy, and have my clothes fit better.  Since exercise is rarely a priority, though, I allow other things in life to take precedence.

This has to stop.  I am continually tired.  My weight continues to climb.  Merely going up stairs, I’m beginning to notice I’m winded.  This lack of fitness is utterly unacceptable!

My lazy, computer-gazing self can easily justify why I haven’t made getting fit a priority.  "I have a writing deadline to meet." "It’s late.  I’ve had a hard day."  "Next week, I’ll have more time."  My ever-growing belly and tired of being lazy self says, "All those excuses are LAME."

I guess I’m not sure where to go from here.  My perpetual lack of motivation and excuses are getting in the way of making any sort of head way towards achieving even the easiest of fitness goals.  With that said, it sounds like I should start small.

I will walk in the neighborhood for 30 minutes ONE time this week.

    That sounds do-able, right??

Your Kids Are Sure To Like This

    Thursday, July 31st, 2008

    And you probably will too!
Prove to your kids that math can be cool by showing them these tricks:

Think of your age in years
    Multiply your age by 2
    Add 10
    Multiply by 5
Add # of siblings you have
    Subtract 50

The digits in your answer will be your age followed by the number of siblings you have.

Think of the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
    Multiply by 80
    Add 1
    Multiply by 250
Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
    Subtract 250
    Divide number by 2

Your answer should be your phone number.

See what other tricks I have up my sleeve at This Wasn’t In The Plan
