Yesterday I began reading the Ball book, I went to the store and purchased the rack, jars, and pan large enough for the rack. I made strawberry jam, salsa and spaghetti. I'm hooked on canning!!!

I have started a canning club with my friend Tracy, why go it alone when you can have fun figuring things out with a friend… Anyways we are looking for any advice you may have and will be canning our hearts out the 4th of July weekend, practicing on some cherries picked fresh from the neighbor's tree. Wish us luck b/c we're gonna need it!

is it too late to try? I planted my first garden this year, and am looking forward to keeping some of the produce for winter – we don't have space for a freezer, so I'm looking at canning!

I have planted an organic garden (lots of tomatos!)in my yard because of the high prices of food, and not knowing what the stuff in the stores has been sprayed with. I am looking forward to canning so that I can preserve them to eat this winter
