Blissfully back to school…..

Back to School time means on the go time again for the entire family. Each child has their own school and sports schedule. It can drive a Mom crazy right??? A quick easy set up can ease you back into the hectic  “Mom on the go!” lifestyle.

1.    Create an area for all the papers, announcements, works of art, etc. – In our house this is near where the kids hang up their backpacks, drop shoes, etc. I found a small bulletin board and bought 2 large metal wall pockets. One for each child.

2.    Artwork, flashcards, etc go in the bucket-  but schedules, announcements or papers that need signed get hung up. – This way those “special” pictures they colored or created at school can still be kept but don’t need to be placed on the counter for a week making more clutter and headaches for mom.

3.     Then about once a month or so, clean out the wall pockets. Keep the pictures or papers they’ve written that really show off their talent, writing ability, etc. and toss or recycle the rest. There will be PLENTY more brought home in the coming weeks!

You can easily pick up a bulletin board at the store or make one yourself! Here’s  a few tutorials and photos to inspire you and help you get organized!

  1. Fantastic! This came right on time as I'm looking for ways to keep clutter under control and with two in school now we get SOOOOOO many papers sent home that the kids just can't bear to part with!

  2. Oh I am so doing the metal pockets… but I am going to be selfish and do them for me at work!

Which Halloween candy will you "confiscate" from your children?
