We recently found a great recipe for white chocolate covered dried fruit, that looks like spooky ghosts, from the Whole Foods website, and decided to give it a go! We adapted the recipe a bit so that we could use what we already had in the house.
- First, we gathered the ingredients. We used dried mango and apricots for the ghosts and organic white chocolate for dipping. For decorating we used sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries, dried cherries and small pieces of dried mango.
- Next, the girls broke apart the white chocolate bars into small pieces and I melted them in a double boiler (I put two saucepans on top of each other).
- Then, I transferred the melted chocolate to dipping bowls. One by one the girls dipped the dried fruit into the white chocolate.
- After the dipping, they placed them onto a covered surface and decorated them. It is a good idea to store them in the refrigerator until you are ready to enjoy!
