Caring for yourself is a precious gift for your husband

So much of my musings have been focused on how our behavior and presence effects our husbands. This week, we will focus on ourselves. Our self focus will not be out of sheer self absorption. As the most important part of our husband's world, and the matriarch of our families, our ability to care for ourselves has a huge impact on the world around us. We have all heard the phrase, "A Happy Wife = A Happy Life!"

Ask yourself these questions, and do not censor your answers, just listen to the answers that pop into your mind automatically.

  1. What areas of my life have I ignored?
  2. What is keeping me from taking care of myself?
  3. Am I depressed?
  4. Is there a part of my personality that I have squelched?
  5. What do I need to do so I can restore balance in my life?
  6. What brings me joy?
  7. What are my top 3 priorities in life?
  8. Do my actions support me reaching these 3 priorities?
  9. What legacy do I want to leave for my children?
  10. How would gaining balance in my life effect my husband's life?

The answers to these ten questions will be your most valuable tools in examining your life and present level of self care this week.
