I have some that I use for drying dishes, but I've never tried them for regualar cleaning. I don't use bleach (health reasons), so I tye-dyed my flour sack towels so that they look nice and don't get dingy. It works great. I will have to try these for cleaning. I will have to try some of these, as I use the pricey microfiber ones. And, no, do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets with them.
