Decorating your walls with paint – links

As I mentioned on Tuesday, I loved using paint to decorate our home. For me it is a soothing relaxing task {ahem; I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way?}

If you are considering this task, peruse these links before you get started. There are plenty of ideas and TONS of tips – from choosing colors, to prepping your work area.

  • Porter Paints – great how-to instructions and an excellent resource for choosing colors.
  • The Paint Quality Institute – a little bit of everything (okay, a lot of info), including design trends and information sheets to print off.
  • Behr Paints – the Inspiration section has wonderful articles.
  • YouTube – a basic search of decorative, walls, painting brought back a long list of videos that show the techniques. Perfect for all of your visual learners!

Now go pick out some paint, and get started!

  1. I found the Behr website to be extremely useful to me as I am slowly repainting a majority of rooms in my home. It really helps to be able to see the color on the wall without having to actually paint it on the wall first!
