I have very little success on the exercise front to report this week. Disappointed just doesn't convey how I feel about my lack of achievements. Although I did continue my healthy food choices, exercise was nonexistant.
All week I kept talking myself out of going on walks or firing up the DVD player. My son and daughter were both sick yet again last week, though not really sick enough to not even leave the driveway on a walk. Their illness, combined with my exhaustion from caring for two semi-sick kiddos zapped all of my motivation.
The thing is, if I just would've gone for a walk, I suspect I would have felt physically better.
My to-do list this week (besides ACTUAL EXERCISE) includes inquiring at two local fitness centers about memberships and their childcare facilities. Before having kids, I belonged to a gym and worked out 3 days a week on my way home from work. I really enjoyed the treadmill, toning machines, and classes. But not that I have kids and don't work, I wonder if I'll make time in our schedule to workout at a gym. If my recent lack of motivation and excuses are evidence of my commitment to fitness, then I may want to reconsider joining a gym!
Anyone know the right questions to ask when looking at fitness centers? Come on over to Blissfully Domestic Forums and we'll talk about what we should look for when joining a gym!

I feel your pain and frustration on the exercise topic. I'm in the same situation. Why, oh why, is it so difficult??
Dooce is giving away 5 Wii Fit systems and today's the last day to sign up. Check out my post with link at:

Mine was hours. My gym is open everyday except friday, sat, and sunday 24 hours. If I wake up and get to the gym that is great. If I have a day off and want to go at 9pm, I want it to be open. I want it always to be available if I get the urge to go.(so I have no excuse not to) I do not really care about the classes. I want one without tons of body builders and a few people my size gasping for air on the eliptical, just for perspective, lol.
