We stayed home and gave out candy to other children. Our daughter dressed up as a princess and helped. I don't think we'll do it again next year. We only had 9 children come to our door. We started giving out candy because we wanted to bless others, even if they didn't understand themselves. But, I think we might wait till our daughter gets a bit older (she's 5). So she can understand why she doesn't get to, but why we do it for others.

We really do not in the traditional sense. Our church does a Fall Festival with Trunk or Treat. People park their cars in a line and dress up their car trunks in different ways and hand out candy to trick or treaters. We also have games in our gym, a hay ride on a church member's tracktor, we rent one of those moon bouncers, and we serve corn dogs for dinner. It is an incredible outreach to our community.

We will also go to other churches in the area when they have their Fall Festivals. Lucky, it is usually on different nights.

We do not go door to door.

We always celebrate Halloween! It's so fun! My kids dress up and we trick or treat. This year, only our two youngest went trick or treating. 18 year old dressed up for a costume party at another friend's house. 13 year old was a big poop! :) It's the age! It's also my Dad's birthday, so we usually head over to their house to celebrate that too!

We do, but ran into a very scary costume four houses in and that ruined it for my seven year old (who has very high anxiety). We kept trick or treating for a little while after he calmed down, but then they asked to go home.

Ha! I just blogged about this! We don't do the gore, death, dark stuff but we do love handing out candy to cute little kids in superhero and princess costumes. But it seems more and more that adults are refusing to relinquish even that part of October 31. Sigh.

My kids dressed up, and went trick or treating after school at my Mother In Laws house. Then we came home and my parents came over to see the kids in their costumes.

My kids both loved dressing up for Halloween, but I think going door-to-door for candy has really lost its momentum, at least in my town. Most people seem to attend trunk or treat parties at churches, go to festivals at shopping centers, or attend private parties. Very few people were out walking around in costume in our neighborhood, and most neighbors weren't even home.

We celebrated Halloween by dressing the kiddos up (Snow White & a Pumpkin). Since our oldest wasn't feeling to great we went over to the Grand Parents for Gold Fish than took them to Toys R US and picked up a $3.00 Toy for each (Puzzle & Book). Halloween more and more lately seems to be something we may not particpate in at least for trick or treating. I enjoy dressing up the kids but don't like my children getting scared by evil costumes.
