PICK: A ROMANTIC, FLUSHED FACE

This season it’s all about a matte "eggshell" finish, contoured cheeks with subtle shiny elements on the eyes or lips. Blush is back – add a pinch of color to the apple of the cheeks for a flushed and romantic feel that is super feminine and classic.

TIP: Try mixing and matching shades to find the perfect palette. Shimmery rose hues are a great touch for color and a taupe or tan contour are perfect for a winter glow. Only use bronzers without shimmer as a contouring tool to emphasize the bone structure – it is more subtle and won’t be obvious.

GET THE LOOK: Apply Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder first and then complete the “matte” look of the face by applying Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil. For cheeks, use Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush in Rosy Glow and to contour, apply the Physicians Formula Powder Palette Multi-Colored Face Powder in Healthy Glow Bronzer.

PICK: WINE COLORED LIPS

Deep wine tones such as burgundy, cabernet and merlot – even scarlet – will be hot this season as a matte base lip stain. A little shimmer with a champagne-colored gloss on top is the perfect overlay for dark, dramatic lips.

TIP: Mix the texture by adding gloss on top of a matte lip color or a bit of sparkly eye shadow on your lips. This creates a new texture and adds a more dramatic look.

GET THE LOOK: Apply Physicians Formula Plump Potion Needle Free Lip Plumping Cocktail in Cranberry Potion or Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Lip Veil in Organic Nude.

PICK: DARK EYES

Eyes should be heavily smudged in shades of slate gray, burgundy, rich browns, cabernet and army green, which are all hot this season. Adding heavy eyeliner and topping it off with black mascara will create an intensity that balances out this fall trend of romantic flushed cheeks.

TIP: Color in your crease. Adding a dark shade up through the crease of your eye will enhance the eyes for a more dramatic look.

GET THE LOOK: First apply Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Eye Shadow Duo. Then line eyes with Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Eyeliner and complete the look with several coats of Physicians Formula Plump Potion Lash Plumping & Stimulating Mascara in Ultra Black.
