Fall Vignettes

Vi·gnette: pronunciation: vin-ˈyet, vēn- (noun), French, from Middle French vignete- a small decorative design or picture so placed.

Whether we realize it or not, we have vignettes on display all throughout our homes. From our bedside tables with their stacks of books, reading glasses perched atop, and drinking glass adjacent – to our fireplace mantels with their carefully placed candlesticks, framed family photos, and vases. Whether our vignettes are artfully arranged or accidental, they all tell a story about us, our homes, and the things we treasure.

The great thing about vignettes, is that they invite change. Seasonal displays offer up an opportunity to add in new textures, colors, and light. Fall is the perfect time to introduce rich hues, elements from nature, and warm candle light or sparkly glitter, all ready to be pressed into service.
