Ready set, go! You can make a beautiful fall wreath in about 10 minutes or less. Seriously. No glue required. If you shop the sales at places like Michael's and Jo Anne etc. you can score some pretty nice wreath making materials for very, very cheap. Buy them up when they are on clearance and put them away for a rainy day! All you need is:
- a few sprays or faux floral/berries,
- your wreath base, be it grapevine, or straw, whatever you prefer- you could even use a straw hat or a swag shaped base
- wire snips
- floral wire
Lay out all of your materials and think about your design. The beauty of this method is, you can easily change your design with your tastes and the seasons. If you are using a grapevine wreath, you may not even need to use floral wire, it depends on how tightly the wreath is woven. My wreath here is very dense and I am able to anchor the sprigs in with out anything to hold them. Excellent!
Here's what you need to do:
- Snip apart your floral sprays
- tuck them into the wreath in whatever design you fancy
- secure any errant sprigs with floral wire, (be sure to hide it under the faux foliage)
- say "Faux foliage" 5 times quickly.
- hang your new creation.
How easy was that?! Enjoy your beautiful handiwork all season and then swap it out with appropriate foliage with the next one.
