When I was a kid we used to have a sweet gum tree in our yard. I loved playing with those prickly balls, but stepping on one sure did hurt! I've seen a couple of other ideas using them and with this idea it makes me wish I still had one. But my husband would freak. I guess I'll have to <strike>steal</strike> borrow someone else's. I didn't mean to harp about the gum balls, because I love all the other ideas, too, especially the Giving Thanks candles and white pumpkin candle holders.
