I'm not even entirely sure when or how it happened, but one day I decided I was going to try and be more environmentally conscious. But it's new to me, so I'm starting small. But I am recycling now (I know, shame on me for not having done it before) and I've bought one cloth grocery bag, and plan on buying a few more. It's a start, right? Another great thing I found, to lessen the waste at landfills, is freecycle. What this is, is a way to get rid of things you would have otherwise thrown out, by giving them away to others. If you google freecycle, you should find tons of info. on it, and I know that yahoo.com has groups in practically every town where you can locally post offerings, AND find things others are offering as well.
