Guest towel baskets

Guest towel basket for squeaky clean hands

I love having people over, but with the 3 little kids, I am a bit of a germaphobe… When this time of year comes around and we enter cold and flu season, I make sure I stock up on those cheapy $3.00 for a dozen wash cloths and strategically place them next to the sink so that when guests come over (especially for parties) and wash their hands, they can dry themselves off on a new, clean towel. It leaves my guest towels in better condition and keeps everyone from using the same gacky towel over and over again.

I have an extra basket on the floor near by, where they can throw the used one. The great thing is, it’s not that much to wash them (I just use them to round out a load of laundry) and when the kids are in the tub, they are good to have right on hand. I’ll even use one to wipe of the counter top or faucet if someone stops over unexpectedly and the bathroom is just a little too gross for company. I also love to give these as housewarming and hostess gifts and pass on the clean :) .
