This giveaway is courtesy of Brad of Enemy of Debt, one of our newest Guest Writers!  Please make sure to check out his site, as he has some wonderful advice for anyone trying to live the Frugal Life!

Here's the deal. We have an extra Halloween Costume and I want to give it to you! It is an airblown, inflatable Pumpkin costume. The product claims to fit most kids, and it inflates itself by using 2 AA batteries. Do you have or know a small child that would LOVE to be a cute pumpkin? We bought one for our son as well, and let me just tell you that he is absolutely adorable in it.

This is how you can win this adorable costume for your precious little one. Simply leave a comment below giving me your best Christmas Savings Idea. How do you save money during the Holiday season? Do you have some Christmas ideas that can help others spend less during these rough economic times? A comment with your idea will enter you into the contest. All of the ideas will be shared in a follow up post. Give more than one idea, and I will include batteries with the costume, if your name is selected.

CONTEST RULES

  1. Entries will be accepted until 10:00pm EST on Saturday October 18th, at which time comments will be closed and a winner picked via Randomizer, announced on this site and contacted via email.
  2. Costume will be mailed on Monday October 20th. This will ensure that you receive the costume in time for Halloween.

.oO This would be perfect for one of my kiddos!

  3. This tip may or may not save money this year but it's sure to save money for years to come, as well as being environmentally friendly. Wrapping paper and ribbons can be very expensive, just to end up throwing them away every year. Several years ago, I bought inexpensive fabric with Christmas themes or colors. I also bought the spools of satin and flocked ribbon of various widths that are used in decorating – usually bows for doors or wreaths. I used the fabric to wrap the packages – no tape needed – and tied with the ribbons. I also sewed some very quick sacks from the fabric to accommodate unusually shaped items and tied them at the top with the ribbon. Everything is reusable and it adds a very nice touch to the holiday. If a person sews or quilts, she probably already has a fabric stash and might find fabrics suitable for this purpose. Fabric can also often be found very inexpensively at yard sales, rummage sales and thrift stores (or even gotten off freecycle).

  4. Only one person? Well Pamela, it loos as if you are going to sweep the competition.

I was hoping for more Christmas savings ideas from everyone. If you don't need a costume then still leave your ideas with us so others can use them this Christmas.

Will you see the new Twilight movie New Moon on Friday?
