When we think of the forties-fifties housewife, we conjure an image of pill-box hats and full skirts. Flappers had their beaded sheaths, seventies chicks had their Boho tops and muumuus. These weren&#039;t trends, they were everyday styles that the ordinary woman wore.</description>
