I am a basic person - I keep it simple. So when I need to jazz it up, I buy just a couple of small trendy things per season (shirt, purse, etc). Great tips! For my interviews I bought a watch that is a bracelet. I don't need my wrist telling me the time and I certainly don't need to be adorned, but I felt pressure to do both for interviews, so I bought it. And I'm kinda diggin' it. I'd also like to stick some trend into my wardrobe, since transitioning from a VT wardrobe to a NYC wardrobe is ... uh, no small feat or expense. I did buy a Little Black Dress for interviews and two pairs of slacks with ridiculous belts/buttons that I hope to cover over with tops I have yet to buy.
