		<description>It&#039;s also important to remember that most family physicians provide excellent pediatric care.  In fact, in inner cities and rural areas, they may be the closest option.  If a child doesn&#039;t have significant chronic illness, a family doctor can take care of the vast majority of the child&#039;s health needs.  In addition, family docs can also take care of parents&#039; health needs as well.  The one caveat is that family doctors practice obstetrics generally in otherwise underserved areas.  It&#039;s really nice to be able to take the whole family to the same physician who understands the whole family.
