I Choose Entertainment

Lately, it can get a little scary to watch the news – the economy is a mess, gas prices are up and down from day to day, it's an election year so sound bites abound (as does the mud-slinging – can't we all just get along?!). If you let yourself think of all the horrible things out there, you could well go nuts (fear of bird flu kept me awake at night for three days straight once).

There's so much NEWS to take in that I don't mind if I tend to be a little more US Weekly than Newsweek. Sometimes I need a break from the barrage of information – and I'd rather focus on which celeb has a baby bump than on which candidate did what heinous thing.

US Weekly

I believe wholeheartedly that knowledge is power. But give yourself a break if you'd rather (ahem) watch the season finale of PROJECT RUNWAY than the Presidential Debate. What's your favorite escape from the seriousness of things?

Sarah will be tuning in to the Finale of Season Five of Project Runway tonight, and not the debate. Though she may write about both on The Mom Chronicles tomorrow.
