This week on Jon & Kate Plus 8, the family was preparing to visit Hawaii. They were invited to spend a week at a resort on the island and jumped at the chance. This would also be a great way for the couple to renew their wedding vows.
Jon and Kate had planned on marring in Hawaii the first time around but family constraints kept them from doing that. Now they are able to see their dream come true by renewing their vows along side their "own little wedding party" as Kate put it.
The planning for the trip was remarkable. The number of suitcases and carry-ons they took was a nice little chunk. I liked Jon's idea of taking a photo of each suitcase so they could remember what was packed where and how. Great organizational skills.
The children seemed super excited with their trip. They chatted away about who would sit with whom. I think they all sounded like wonderful little travelers.
Kate's dress was amazing. She picked it out at Kleinfelds in NYC. This is the store that is the backdrop for another TLC show "Say Yes to the Dress". The gown was perfect and it said " Hawaiian wedding" through and through.
They were planning a layover in San Diego so they could break up the trip. I think this is a great idea so the children do not have to spend 6 hours on the plane and it also gave their little bodies time to adjust to the change in time zones. The previews of their San Deigo trip looked great.
I can not wait till next week to see the next leg of the trip. I was able to get a sneak peek of the Hawaiian portion when I picked up People magazine a few weeks ago. The photos were just breathtaking.
Speaking of photos, I got my copy of the November issue of Good Housekeeping. The article on the family was very good. Their cover shot turned out great.
