Many thanks to those of you who contacted your Representatives about H. R. 2343, the deceptively-named "Education Begins At Home Act."
Your calls made a difference!
Congress has "left the building" for the 110th session, and this bill never came up for a vote. If for some reason Congress reconvenes for a lame duck session after Election Day when they no longer fear the wrath of voters, they may decide to schedule H.R. 2343 for a vote at that time.
We will keep you advised of developments, and whether it is necessary for you to apply more pressure to your Representative to oppose this Nanny State bill.
