I know Amber said it, but I was thinking it as I read this, so I'll say it again. Some serious food for thought here. I too have always been fascinated with names, but have never given the idea of what my God-name would be much thought. I think at this point in my life my God-name would be "Student", because right now, I'm all about learning and taking in the lessons I'm being taught.

Oh, wow, that's a tough question. Good food for thought today! I'm sure the name that God calls me has changed several times, and it probably will again in the future. I'd like to think right now God could call me "a woman after his own heart" since that has been something I've been striving for in recent months. But I know, at the same time, I often don't live up to that.

Names are definitely a fascination for me as well. For our children we choose "Praise" and "Wisdom" and have prayed that God will fulfill those attributes in their characters as they grow and mature. Names can be very powerful in a person's life.

I think I would choose "Daughter" as my God-name, for many personal reasons...

I've always been fascinated by the names in the Bible - I love looking up the meanings given to places and people. If I could choose my God-name, I think I would choose "Faithful." I'm pretty sure I don't live up to it most of the time, but I strive towards it anyway.
