I am from the south and what can any more romantic than candles. my husband never complains about me buying candles. your design it just beautiful .I am going in my basement to see what i can come up with to recreate your idea thank you

Thank you for schoolin’ folks on the not having unburned (burnt?) wicks. My mom taught me that one growing up and now I can’t stand to see it any other way.

I have an idea to add….

We didn’t have any money to buy firewood this year. I still wanted to have that “fire light” in the fireplace this year. I went to my garage in search of some type of tray to put in the fireplace to hold candles. I found an old broiler pan and took the top slatted sheet out and added some candles. What I love about it is…because it’s a metal pan the wax comes right off. I hope this gives someone a cheap idea for a wonderful fire place..LOL!
