Most of the time it's easy to love our children. They're cute…or act so "grown up"…or being so successful. But what about the other times? When children clearly fail to meet our expectations? That's when the Word can help us pursue an attitude of unconditional love, offering the same kind of grace the God extends to us.
- Recognize the value of every child
- Cherish your children
- Help them know God and His wisdom
- Bless your children and envision their future
- Be their best example
- Remember: God works through children, too!
Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there. Hi Karla.
Thank you for this. I printed this off and placed it on my thought board.
Thank you, Karla for such a wonderful reminder of how to love our children even when they aren't being particularly "loveable."
I look forward to more of your inspiring posts!

"Be their best example."
Can you call me around 4:30 pm every evening and remind me of this?
Wonderful post, Karla, and a necessary reminder. Thank you.
Thanks for the great thoughts. I love my children to pieces, but at times it is HARD to show them that.
"Cherish your Children" a great motto to employ every second of every day.
We sang that song a lot at school as kids it was called "When Mothers of Salem" : When mothers of Salem their children brought to Jesus,
the stern disciples drove them back and bade them depart:
but Jesus saw them ere they fled and sweetly smiled and kindly said,
"Suffer little children to come unto me."
I love the one about Being their best example
