I want my kids to have a grateful heart.

Teaching gratitude to children isn’t always easy. But during this time of year, where we set aside a special day just for thankfulness, I wanted to create something tangible for my children to think about the blessings in their lives.
So, we created a Blessing Box.
A Blessing Box is just a simple container. It holds all the little blessings that come our way. We each jot down thoughts on slips of paper. It’s fun to open the box on Thanksgiving Day. Or it’s a great family project to make on Thanksgiving Day and fill up all year long.
I bought some Thanksgiving stickers at Hobby Lobby and a small white cardboard box for .99 cents.

My kids decorated the box and we put it in a prominent place in our home with some extra slips of paper.
It’s already getting full. I can’t wait to open it in a few weeks!
