Pipper from Junk Food 4 The Soul had an excellent post last week called The Marriage Song. Pipper says:
What is a marriage song you ask? Well, it's a song that totally captures our marriage and what it's like to be married to each other.
I have to say, Pipper and her groom have a rather unique marriage song but you'll have to go to her place to find out what it is. It got me thinking though, do we have a marriage song? Do you have a marriage song?
I don't think it has to be one that you used in your wedding although that is the first song I thought of for us:
Music has the ability to transport us back to another time and place. And sometimes hearing a song from your wedding or from when you were dating can help you remember all the good qualities of your relationship and your spouse. Your song may be really silly but when you hear it, it makes you laugh as you remember a special moment that you shared with your husband. Or the song may be sad and hearing it will bring tears to your eyes. But it also reminds you of how you've managed to shoulder through tough times and come out stronger on the other side.
