I'm a third voice saying the information is wrong, and I am pretty sure I don't work at the same Target the other two do. This information is posted on hundreds of sites all over the web (and has been for years), and it's still wrong. (I'm so sorry - that sounds awful to say, and I appreciate you trying to help folks.)

Debbie is right, most of the departments are listed on the wrong day. As for the price ending in "4" having the lowest price, it would be easier just to look at what percentage is marked on the clearance ticket. In small print there will be two numbers above the current price, which shows the current percentage off. Merchandise only goes up to 75% off, though it doesn't normally hang around that long, with the exception of seasonal merchandise which will sometimes go 90% off.

I prepared the ads to be posted at a Target this summer. This is all wrong. The ads generally all go up on one day (saturday)and old ones will go down that day as well. A few will go during the week. The during the week ads typically are more focused in the entertainment section (cd's and such)
