Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour

The one movie that is probably on the top of tween girls everywhere is Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus.  The movie covers Miley Cyrus on her sold out tour.  Also featured in the movie is the Jonas Brothers who also toured with Miley.  The movie was shot in Disney 3D for an extra out of the ordinary concert experience.  The movie is rated G and lasts 74 minutes.

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day is a lovely tale about two women who try to find love and life in one day.  The movie stars Amy Adams as Delysia Lafosse, an actress, who hires Miss Pettigrew, played by Frances McDormand, as her social secretary. Both ladies decide they must grab life for the gusto and experience each moment as it comes.  The movie is light and funny.  It is rated pg-12 and lasts 93 minutes.

If you are looking for an action packed movie you should check out The Scorpion King 2 Rise of a Warrior.  The prequel of The Scorpion King goes back in time to show how the warrior was born.  Mathayus saw his father killed by the king and vowed to extract his revenge.  This was the catalyst for him becoming a warrior who brought fear into the hearts oh his enemy's.  The movie is rated PG-13 and runs 109 minutes.  The movie does have violence and sexual content so it might not be suitable for children.

I found a great snack for movie night at FamilyFun.com.

Pretzel Treats

Ingredients:

  • Bite-size waffle shaped pretzels
  • Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hugs
  • M&M's Candy

1. Heat the oven to 170º. Set a number of bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels (one for each treat) in a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, then top each pretzel with an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug.

2. Bake for 4 to 6 minutes (the white chocolate will melt more quickly), until the chocolates feel soft when touched with a wooden spoon. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and quickly press an M&M's candy into the center of each Kiss.

3. Allow the treats to cool for a few minutes, then place them in the refrigerator to set, about 10 minutes. Place handfuls of the candies in clear plastic bags and tie on colorful ribbons

This would be a great treat that the kids could join in the fun of making.

  1. Is it wrong for a 30-yr old woman to love Miley Cyrus?! Her songs are just so dang catchy.

  2. Those pretzels sound like a great gift idea! I'll have to remember them for CHristmas.

  3. You'll have to try this recipe using rolos instead of kisses. It's a chocolate, caramel, m&m delight! And it looks pretty too.

Will you see the new Twilight movie New Moon on Friday?
