Every step of the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California.
-
They reprocess the milk jugs into HDPE plastic (a safe plastic).

I have been trying to generally reduce my waste output. We recycle and try to reuse things as well as not buying products with excess packaging. Thansk for the giveaway!
We've been buying in bulk to reduce packaging, plus using cloth bags at the grocery.

We use rags instead of paper towels, hankerchiefs instead of tissues, cloth diapers, try to keep our travel to a minimum and are trying to reduce the amount of "stuff" we have. We do the normal recycling and trying to watch our water usages type of things as well. Thanks for this amazing give away!
I would love to win this! We're greener by… changing all the lightbulbs to those swirly looking ones:P and trying to eat organic when we can
I would love to get more green toys, but where we live, we don't have that luxury
*crossing my fingers* Have a great day!

My daughter would really enjoy this. We have done a lot to go green within our family home, and now I am studying to be LEED accredited so I can be green at work, too.
we recycle everything we can. Use earth friendly light bulbs and unplug anything that is not in use. Buying bulk too!
thanks for the giveaway. My little "green" helpers would LOVE this tea set.
I love Green Toys!! What a great give away.
I'm trying hard to teach my 3 year old daughter the value of living a greener life, from the obvious things like recycling and driving a very fuel efficient car, to more fun hands on things for a kid…like planting our own fruit and vegetable garden, and making as many of our meals from whole foods as possible, and allowing her to help with the process. I grew up in a house that ate fast food, pre-packaged food, microwave dinners, etc. So I get a real sense of joy when my daughter helps me pick out a cart load of fresh produce that she later helps me prepare and cook for our family meals. And astonishingly, since we recently made the switch to non processed foods we've really cut back on our grocery bill. (not to mention less things to have to worry about recycling in the first place)
Her toys are another issue altogether though….since she was born my husband and I have been anti plastic, anti battery, etc. The grandparents? Not so much! Ha! So we have our share of loud crappy toys that she loves and loud crappy toys that we all love, tempered with a lot of nice quality toys that we've picked out for her. I'd love to add the Green Toys tea set to her collection, it's time to ditch that plastic Barbie set from Grandma (no I'm not kidding!)
Thanks so much for the chance to enter this giveaway!
We have changed all of our light bulbs to the compact flourescent kind.
We have all of our lightbulbs as cfl's now, I was as much as I can in cold water, I use reusable bags at the store (when I remember them), and I am anxiously awaiting the recycling program to begin in my small town.
We recycle everything we can, we donate clothes that can be reused for other purposes and all of our light bulbs are now cfl's. This tea set is fantastic. My daughter would love to throw a tea party!
I'm living a green life by continuing to live the way I've always lived, just a general outlook on life that I want to be a good steward of God's earth. I've always done things like looked for little or no packaging, used cloth diapers, breastfed, used reusable bags, keeping the heat low, etc. I don't think of it as being 'green' but just looking after God's wonderful creation.
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
Rather than taking bottled water to work each day, I now fill up my Brita pitcher and tote that with me. Then I'm not only sure to drink a lot during the day since I have it right there and don't have to trek to get more, but if there's any left at the end of the day I water the plants with it on the way out.
We used to use water bottles but having changed to a water filter and glasses…
Great giveaway!
I try to combine all of my errands, so not to use anymore gas than I have to. In addition, I bring my own bags to EVERY store–grocery, book, drug or clothing– so I never need a plastic or paper one to carry home my purchases!
I reuse the same ziplock bags over and over by washing them out. Sure beats letting them wind up in the landfill or recycling bin when they have so much use left.
Our family has made a lot of changes in the last year. We have drastically reduced the amount of pre-packaged food we eat. I make almost everything from scratch. I make all of my own detergent and most of my cleaning supplies. We are trying to live responsibly and take care of what the Lord has blessed us with.
Thanks for the great giveaway!!
We buy local organics, use home-made cleaners, and I just started making the family use baking soda as shampoo! My fam thinks I'm a non-toxic nut, but we are all better for it.
This winter, we have really focused on reducing our energy usage by using towels and window plastic to plug leaks in our very drafty house.
Thanks!
We have completely stopped buying bottled water and use reusable sports bottles now!
I had my first vegetable garden this year. I started composting as soon as we moved into our house in the spring. We switched as many light bulbs as we could to CFLs. We recycle as much as possible and recently started using the canvas grocery bags. Thanks for the giveaway and all the great information.
We try to live green everyday by buying most of our books, toys and kids clothes used and passing them on when we are done. We live in a "pay as you throw" community so it has made us really aware of how much trash is generated. Thanks for giveaway -it would be great to use with our homeschool group!
We have been trying to go green in the small things first…things like taking reusable bags to the stores and turning off the lights when we aren't in a room. Little changes like that really add up over time!
We are using green cleaners (Mrs. Meyers) and recycling everything except the cat…

Hope I'm not too late!
Karise
We try really hard to be green. My husband rides his bike to work, so we save on gas and help the environment. We buy as much organic as the budget allows and started a little garden for our daughters. Teaching them to be greener now, will help our environment in the future.
