They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but I like to say "an apple party is a great way to play"! You are probably wondering what the heck is an apple party, anyway? Simply put, it's a party where the theme is apples! This is a great theme for a Fall birthday party or a back-to-school get together.
Not only do apples make great decorations, there are all kinds of fun things you can do at your party using the apple theme:
- Play games like bobbing for apples or "hot apple" (like hot potato)
- Have a craft like "Mr. or Mrs. Applehead" (Mr. Potato Head with an apple twist)
- Serve apple dumplings
- Use scooped out apples to hold snacks (like apple chips)
- Serve apple juice or cider
- Have an apple peeling contest to see who can make the longest peel (older kids only)
Apple shaped cutouts and stickers are available at craft stores, scrapbooking stores and teaching supply stores. They can be used for all kinds of things:
- Make invitations from small apple cut outs
- Make a hopscotch board out of large apple cutouts
- Use apple stickers to decorate plain cups and plates
There are countless ways to incorporate apples into your party and with just a little imagination, you can have a unique party that is just "Delicious". How PERFECT is that?
