Post Baby Body Show Off

The celebrities are big on showing off their post baby bodies.  They come out of hiding to show off their hard work at getting back to their pre baby shape.  Most of the celebrities create this amazing feet with the help of trainers, nutritionists and a little voodoo magic ( just kidding).

Jennifer Lopez was more than happy to show off her post pregnancy body.  The star and her husband recently vacationed in Italy and Ms. Lopez was rockin the white bikini.  She looks amazing after giving birth to her twins, Max and Emme.  With the help of a trainer and a nutritionist Jennifer has been able to bring back her Jenny from the block body in full force.

Jessica Alba is also working hard to achieve he pre-pregnancy body.  Jessica gave birth to her daughter Honor a little over a month ago.  She is taking a relaxed approach to her weight loss by beginning a walking program.  Walking is a great way to loose the weight without over exerting yourself.

One star that will have to take extra easy for at least the next 8 weeks is Tori Spelling.  Tori recently gave birth to her daughter Stella by c-section.  Tori will need to stick to some strict guidelines for at least the next 8 weeks to let her body heal before she can jump back on the exercise bandwagon.

What was your post baby exercise plan?  Did you run right back to the gym post baby?  Did you find Weight Watchers, Nutra System, or Jenny Craig helpful?  What words of advise can you give a new mother who can not afford the fancy trainer or nutritionist like the stars?

  1. Breastfeeding is the best way to lose the weight! I lost all my pregnancy weight plus eight extra pounds by just breastfeeding. Now granted, my stomach was still flabby and that took some time but the weight came right off.

I have decided, personally, that while I want to be healthy, I am never going to diet. I am never going to begin an "exercise regimen". I am going to wear my extra mommy skin, stretch marks, and flab as badges of honor. I am a mother. I want to be okay with looking like a mother.

Like I said – I want to be healthy – not perfect. And it really REALLY helps having a husband who thinks I'm the hottest thing alive, even though I've gone from a size 5 to a size 12 after giving birth to our four children in a little over four years!

So, I don't bother about it anymore. I just do the best I can with what I have, and let God fill in the blanks. :-)

  3. I second breastfeeding! Also eating to appetite and making sure you are well hydrated. I walked with my daughter in a sling and wore her around the house. I had a 3 month maternity leave. However, I gained 4 pounds over the winter and am having trouble losing it!

  4. I look at those photos of those women and I think to myself "It's so NOT FAIR!" J. Lo doesn't even look like she had a baby let alone TWINS! But then I remember that they have personal chefs and trainers and work their butts off (literally). So I too could look that great but I lack the discipline ( and the personal chef and trainer…lol!)

Breasfeeding is definitely the best way to lose the baby weight. Drink lots of water and go for walks. Get a friend to join you!

  5. It was a combination of walking the neighborhood (with baby in stroller), breastfeeding and following The Zone, which is a healthy, nutritionally balanced diet – important for nursing mothers. When I returned to work after my 12-week leave, I was thinner then than I had been in years. Of course, now I've gained it all back (ugh…), but plan on using the same course of action with our second little one (due in October).

  6. I did nothing but eat my entire pregnancy, which extended almost three weeks past the due date. Ate all the time and even the cats were starting to look nervous (smile). Did not exercise at all. Gained a total of 18 pounds (not a miss print) which worried us all and then had a very healthy nine pound baby. Have never looked better (but not toned) before or after in my entire life. Wish I knew the secret. Wish I could WW diet down to just 18 pounds over my goal weight. Sigh Did I mention I was 32 at the time?

Will you see the new Twilight movie New Moon on Friday?
