You may have seen the Promom Couture t-shirts on Oprah when Cindy Crawford mentioned they are one of her all-time favorite things. Vicki Stern-Brown, founder and owner of Promom Couture has graciously agreed to give away one of these great tees to our readers, and answer a few questions about starting her company.
"Celebrate Motherhood with Style" is Promom's tagline and mission statement. Every mother wants distinctive choices and styles – this is how we live and why Promom Couture was founded, according to Vicki. And these tees are stylish. Here are just four of the designs they offer, and come in other colors as well – I just happen to like the white ones – natch!
Blissful Style: What inspired you to start Promom Couture?
V S-B: Working as an attorney and serving as the PTA president gave me insight into the so-called “Mommy Wars.” It all seemed so absurd to me. The labels of “working mom” and “stay-at-home mom” don’t fit. The words themselves create the strife. This was a problem. Promom firmly believes that every mother is a professional, period. The problem was the need to validate the word "mom", whether stay-at-home, working, or otherwise. I had to get that message out. The inception of Promom Couture was to celebrate mothers, ALL MOTHERS.
Blissful Style: What is one thing you wish you had known when you started?
V S-B: Manufacturing a tee is a whole world of its own…it was a lot to learn, but I often have the ability to share what I learned through trial and error (LOTS of error) with other mom start-ups, that makes it worth it.
Blissful Style: How do you network and let people know about your company?
V S-B: Mom blogs such as yours, and the media has picked up on us through print radio and television and it's been amazing!!
Blissful Style: What keeps you creatively challenged?
V S-B: Promom’s brand is THE OUTWARD EXPRESSION OF what a mother feels: Good Karma Mom; Happy-Go-Lucky Mom; Grateful Mom; Rock-N-Rule Mom; Maverick Mom, etc. Ultimately, what do moms want? What connects each and every one of us? We want to be happy; we want our children to be happy & LET’S HAVE FUN! Moms redefine motherhood each and every day. There are 82.5 million moms in this country, so we will keep evolving…

I was a little upset that the site did not offer and sizes. It just said ad to cart. I was thinking about getting one for my friend but who would buy a shirt not knowing what size it would be?
