Wow. And also WOW. Such a nice response, and a very insightful review, Katie! We (the Readeez people) truly appreciate it, as well as the many reader comments.

Since we’re not sponsored by anyone (which is by design) The Readeez Company relies on parents to spread the word about our better-for-kids videos. I’m a Dad, and I completely understand the frustration of having a child ask to watch TV. I like to think that Readeez are a “healthier” alternative. So tell your friends….

Awww dang it, I didn’t find the right word but can you tell me where to find it on the site? I thought I looked at all the pages and I am definitely ordering some of the DVDs for the boys for Christmas – They are both enthralled with just the clips on the site – Thanks for the recommendation!

I would love a chance to win one. Health food for growing minds sounds great. Simulsynchrotaneous. Entertaining and educational is the only tv that I let my 2 two year olds and 1 one year old watch. As a new stay at home mom tv is an easy way out, but not a good staple. Little bits of educational programs like this are wonderful.

Another show that has done this well for several years now is Between the Lions on PBS (they also have an accompanying website on pbskids.org – a section for children as well as parents and teachers). the show is aimed at kindegarten through third grade and has been used in several schools. They do a series of skits and stories and illustrate reading in context as well as with text on screen (sounds and words are highlighted at the exact moment they’re spoken as well). And the best news – it’s free to watch and record!

Simulsynchrotaneous is they word they use. Although, I’m not sure I spelled it right. And is it really a word?? Yikes. Hopefully that one won’t be taught to be two year old quite yet. Thanks for the chance to win.
