I so needed this! I think we all fall into "The Mommy Trap" at some point and get so focused on caring for other that we forget about ourselves. But how can we nourish others if we have nothing to give?

I'll be taking some of these suggestions. In fact, I'm joining a gym tonight and have committed to my husband and myself that I will go at least three times a week.

Thank you!!

I love this post, too Amy. I don't watch much TV at all but I tend to let the computer/blogging suck away WAY too much time. I have started reading more, which is something I loved to do pre-kids. Also, my husband and I are trying to do more date nights.

Great inspiration here Amy!

Good luck with finding balance. I try to find validation by being a busy bee, too.

I have been trying to cut back on all the busyness in my life lately. It has been tough since I am slightly ocd and like to finish all my to-do lists. But in the last couple of weeks I have been more relaxed in crossing stuff off my lists and spending more time with the family. I have also started going to bed earlier and having time in the am just for myself. It has helped immensely. Hope you find your old self soon!
