Preschoolers are curious by nature – they don't constantly ask "why" just to annoy you! Take advantage of that curiosity by enjoying some simple science experiments together.
The warm days of summer are a great time to teach your child about solids and liquids. Demonstrate how, when cold things get warm they turn into a liquid by pulling out a popsicle (or just an ice cube) and watching with your child as it turns into a liquid. Maybe put one outside and another inside and let your child guess which one will melt faster. Drink up the liquid or freeze it again. Show your child that you can freeze other things too by freezing up your favorite fruit juice to make a sweet treat.
