Critics of homeschooling are quick to question how children learning at home find adequate socializing opportunities. With a little bit of effort, it's easy to find plenty of socialization for the home schooled student.
Faith-based communities are my family's favorite way to socialize. We go to church. Whatever your flavor of religious belief, I bet there are others looking for you and your children to befriend.

I have met tons of local homeschool families and made terrific friends through online groups. Google your town name and homeschool or go to Yahoo Groups and use the same search parameters. Even here in the middle of nowhere we were able to find great groups.
Thanks, Christine. I mentioned that in a previous post and you are right: don't over look online communities. Yahoo groups is a great resource for finding other home educating families.
