I love this Advent idea. I think it’s the best idea I’ve seen yet. Not only fun with opening the gifts every day but educational as well. I always like the idea of books with kids. I let my daughters know about this one to do with my grandkids. Thanks for sharing this with us. I put it on my blog as well.

This is a fantastic idea! I love the idea of throwing in a couple of Cmas movies and CDs (I want a hippo for cmas would be a cute cd to put in) I will have to do this next year!

We do this every year and I love it except we have added a few new things that are fun. We add a few C-mas movies in the mix of books. This year we bought the Polar Express and got the Grinch from a discard library sale-so we add those to the books. My husband also buys me a C-mas CD and puts it in with the books. You don’t even have to buy a CD- you could make your kids a mix- w/ C-mas songs- and put that in with the books. It adds a little spice to the story a day countdown fun! I love this idea- everyone should do this _
