Survivor Gabon- Week 11

entertainment Survivor Gabon Week 11

Bob gets angry at Sugar for rubbing the fake idol ruse in Randy’s face during tribal council last week. Sugar plays nice to Bob then confesses to the camera that she feels no remorse. Then Corinne starts in on Sugar too and Sugar fights back calling Corinne two-faced. Corinne confesses to the camera that she is done playing nice. I must have missed the episode where she started.

Bob and Kenny go fishing and catch some large fish. The tribe prepares for a feast before a reward challenge. Reward challenge has the tribe splitting into two tribes to solve a puzzle, then competing for an individual reward of a video message from home complete with blatant Sprint/Samsung product placement. Also some pizza and beer and a whole lotta tears. Sugar, Bob and Crystal win the first round and begin the individual reward competition. Bob easily wins the second puzzle and gets a video of his wife.

As Bob sits down to watch his video and eat, his wife surprises him by showing up in person. Bob brings her back to camp and gets to bring the rest of the loved ones with him. The camp erupts into tears, hugs and squeals.

Sugar has a touching moment with her sister who brought some of her Dad’s ashes to sprinkle in the water of Africa.  Then Matty takes his girlfriend down to the water and proposes with a necklace he has made her which would have been really touching if it wasn’t so cheesy.

After all the “loved ones” leave, Bob and Corinne strategize on how to stay in the game. Bob comes up with a scheme to convince the tribe that he has the idol Marcus was supposed to have thrown in the ocean. He has some things he is going to use to make a fake idol and convinces Corrine to go along with his plan.

Immunity challenge is a trivia challenge combined with a bull’s-eye target that you must try and hit with a ball you win with a correct trivia answer. Whoever gets closest to the target wins immunity. Bob ends up winning quite easily again thwarting the Fang alliance’s plan to vote him out, but proving them right that he is tough to beat.

Bob and Corinne approach Kenny who falls for their plan. He agrees with them that Matty is the one to blindside. Kenny also agrees that they should approach Crystal with their plan so Bob approaches her. Crystal agrees and then she and Kenny make a back door deal to flush the idol out. If it is real, they get rid of Matty who is a huge threat. If it isn’t they still get rid of Corinne. Win-win.

Tribal council sees a split 4-3 vote with Kenny jumping ship and voting with Corinne and Bob. Corinne is voted off, but scenes for next week show that Kenny might pay for his actions. Corinne goes out ranting about Sugar and the old Fang tribe in the classy fashion she has shown for the rest of the game. Which is to say, none whatsoever.

You know, usually, I skip these reports so that I can be surprised when I watch it online, but this time, I beat you by a whole DAY watching it! WOOHOO!

Bob is my favorite, with Sugar running a close second; I was hoping that Corinne and Bob's trick would work, because I know Corinne is the only aly Bob had.

This means, essentially, that Bob has to fight for immunity every single time or that the vote against Matty makes him paranoid and he has to try and shake up his game. Matty knows that Sandra and Sugar voted for Corinne, so if he can swing Bob to vote with them and off Kenny and Krystal, it may be the best way for Matty AND Bob to survive a few more rounds.

  2. I did not get to watch this week’s episode so your recap was perfect. Thanks for the great details! Now I will have to go and watch it on line just to see the look on Corinne’s face.

Will you see the new Twilight movie New Moon on Friday?
