Survivor Gabon- Week 3

phpbo28jT

This week's show begins with bickering at both tribes. Over at Kota, Kelly is on the outs because she voted against Ace and Ace is looking for revenge. Over at Fong, Randy is frustrated with the lack of rice and proposes rationing. GC objects and Randy responds by calling him a cancer in the tribe.

Jeff Probst, always one to stir the pot and keep the bickering alive, leads the tribes in a challenge in which each tribe ranks their members in order of value to the tribe. Brutal. No real surprise that Marcus and Matty are voted #1 in Kota and Fong, respectively. Not a huge surprise that Kelly and Susie are last. What is a surprise is that Bob is ranked so highly at 3rd for Kota and GC is second to last on Fong. Ouch.

Then Jeff drops the bomb that they are picking new tribes. Marcus and Matty start off by picking someone from the alternate tribe. They alternate picking from tribes until just Sugar is left. She is sent to exile island to return after tribal council to whichever tribe is forced to vote a member off. Don't feel too bad for her though. She gets to choose comfort over clues and is treated to a buffet of fresh fruit and a nice shelter.

New tribes are:

Kota= Bob, Randy, Susie, Marcus, Corrine, Charlie, Dan

Fong= Ace, Matty, Kelly, Crystal, GC, Jacquie, Ken

Back at new Fong, Kelly tries to jump ship and spills everything about her old tribe. Who knew Ken was making the brilliant under the radar move of the game by picking her to be in their tribe and exploiting her feelings of alienation on her original tribe. She may prove to be quite useful from a strategy standpoint.

For the immunity challenge, we appear to be playing the yet undiscovered sport of water lacrosse. Not even a contest. Marcus and Randy make it look easy for Kota while half the Fong members basically sit this one out. It is embarrassing.

Old Fong is torn on who to vote off from a strategy standpoint. Initially they decide to keep Kelly around, even though she was really weak in the challenge and want to vote off Jacquie . But Jacquie promises to align with them if they vote for Kelly. Strategically Kelly might be the better move to keep cause she seems to want to switch tribe loyalty in a merge. But Jacquie is a much more physical player. Quite a conundrum.

They end up voting off Jacquie. In my humble opinion, they made the right call even though they need the strength. Hopefully it pays off for them cause I hate seeing one tribe so dominate another. Time will tell.
