Survivor Gabon- Week Seven

        entertainment Survivor Gabon Week Seven

Opening scene focuses again on the Fang tribe and their lack of food. To make matters worse, Crystal spills out a fair amount of rice when she trips over the container. Then she refuses to eat rice when they are all eating and picks a fight with Ace and Maddy. Smart move, Crystal. Give them more ammunition when you are train wrecking your tribe.

Reward challenge is for a helicopter trip to an beautiful part of Gabon for a picnic. Game is a school yard round of keep away. Randy plays the whole game ugly and continues to talk smack.  Fang doesn’t have the energy to win this game. Not even a contest.

Sugar gets sent to exile for the 5th time in a row setting a Survivor record. She had just been worthless in the challenge so it was probably fitting. Fang's repeated disappointing performances are bringing me down off my Halloween induced sugar buzz.

Kota tribe enjoys their picnic overlooking a gorgeous, lush valley. They are surprised with a basket of letters from home. Each person seems to get several letters which results in a major cry fest -especially for Bob who makes noises previously only heard in the animal kingdom.

Back at Fang, Ace and Matty strategize as who to vote out. Matty wants Sugar gone, but Ace convinces him to get rid of Crystal. While they are gone, Kenny and Crystal try and figure out a way to blindside Ace and get rid of him. They decide to work on Sugar once she returns from exile island.

Immunity challenge surprise. Both tribes find out they will be voting someone off, but there is also an individual immunity idol up for grabs. Then Jeff reveals another surprise twist will be revealed after the challenge is over. Got all that? The actual challenge is a log roll to see who can stay on the log the longest. It comes down to Ace, Sugar and Marcus. Marcus wins after a really tight battle.

The final secret revealed is that, as the winner, Marcus gets to give an immunity necklace to whoever he wants from the other tribe, sparing someone from the vote. He chooses Sugar in a strategic move hoping that Ace will get voted out further weakening the Fang tribe, in case they aren’t doing a good enough job self destructing on their own.

Kenny tries to pull Sugar onto his side by spinning the truth a bit. He should consider politics. Sugar agrees to band with Kenny and Crystal and vote out Ace. Ace then pleads with Sugar to get her to give him the idol. She plays dumb and tells him he isn’t getting voted off so there is no reason to give him the idol. It is unclear whether she will decide to give him the idol or vote for him as they head to tribal council.

Crystal throws a temper tantrum at tribal and gets into it once again with Matty and Ace. How is this woman still in this game? Sugar betrays Ace and votes him out. Ace gives her a nice sarcastic thank you on the way out.

Dan begs for his life trying not to get voted out.  Randy aligns with Marcus, Corinne, and Charlie forming a new powerful alliance. They try to decide who to vote out next and it comes down to Susie and Dan. Earlier in the episode, Dan really turned his tribe off with his verbal diarrhea, paranoia and neediness, but Susie is also deemed "crazy" and not an asset in challenges. They seem to settle on Dan until Susie tells Corrine she wanted to vote her off. Who says that? We now learn not to cross Corrine cause she turns on Susie and it seems that she is getting voted off going into tribal council. But once again editing has steered us wrong. Dan is voted off.

It appears there is a merge next week so finally we can watch the rest of Fang get picked off one by one. And Randy seems to have some sort of God complex lounging on the beach sipping martinis. Should be interesting.

Jill should legally change her name to Sugar considering how much Halloween candy she has eaten this week. Until then you can still call her Jill over at The Diaper Diaries.
