I love the idea of 'stockpiling' a few timeless articles so they can be ready to go when needed--we used to do this when I was in television. I would do a few stories to keep 'in the can' (as we called it) on health tips, education factoids, interesting trivia, etc., and it would allow me to take that short vacation but still have 'face' time on the broadcast.
