Looking for an interesting scandal?
Drama?
Look no further.
Anita Shreve has given us a new novel that I couldn’t. put. down.
If you’ve read Jodi Picoult’s Nineteen Minutes, where each chapter is the voice of one of the characters, Testimony is similar.
Avery Academy is a prestigious boarding school for top students in New England. But behind its walls is a scandal that can (and does) change lives forever.
The story unfolds as parents, students, and others directly (and indirectly) involved in the scandal tell their viewpoint of the events. As the reader is given bits of what has taken place, one wonders how this event could have happened, WHO is actually guilty of setting the wheels in motion, and how it will all end.
I’ve read a few of Shreve’s books, but this by far has been my favorite. Available October 21st.
If you enjoy suspense, emotional drama, and getting sucked into a good book, put this on the top of your list. You won’t be disappointed.
