These are kids that grow up quickly in an environment that is difficult and tempting even for adults. Having a lot of $ of their own means more temptations and less dependence on parents. If we are not around they will fall. It would be so difficult to be a parent in so much spotlight, with the mistakes I make on a daily basis. But you'd have to think that there would be a moment when parenting took over and disallowed all the "career advancing" opportunities that aren't appropriate. I hurt for them, but at some point you have to be a grownup yourself. I think honestly it's a little of both.
