I never thought that I would love a series about vampire love either. :) I really liked the movie, but I went in with low expectations. I did not want to be disappointed. I want to see it again soon. As much as I liked the movie, I *LOVED* the book more!

My younger sister who *NEVER* reads is about halfway through the book right now. That's HUGE. The book series is definitely one of my guilty pleasures... And Jessica, you're right - though the theater was filled with a lot of teens, there were definitely a lot of us in the theater who were a smidge... older.

I love the Twilight series. I loved it so much I sent all four of my books to my sisters to read. (Of course I made them send them back!) I went into the movie knowing that it would be different than the books. (No brainer...) I was very happy with the movie. Amazingly enough... my husband, who went with me to watch it, came home and started reading the book because he enjoyed it so much.

My only beef is with the media who are still categorizing this book as a "young adult" book and movie. I'm 29 and have three kids. This book has more than just a "teenie bopper" appeal and it did amazingly in the box office this weekend due to that fact. It was not only the "teenage girls" that were the only ones to see the movie. My friends and I had a Mommies & Husbands afternoon out and went to see it.

I never thought I'd read and enjoy a book about vampires, but when I picked up Twilight two years ago I absolutely could not put it down. I read it 3 times in 6 days! I devoured the others in the series in a similar matter, waiting anxiously for each new book to be released. And I counted down to the opening of the movie.

Movies are never as good as the books they portray and I didn't expect Twilight the movie to be fantastic. It was a little cheesy and low budget. But I did really enjoy it and thought most of the actors did a great job in portraying their respective characters. Charlie and Esme were perfect! Jasper was a little creepy; he was the only one I didn't like in the movie. On the whole I was satisfied. I like it enough to see it again with my sisters-in-law this coming week! So excited to hear the powers that be will be making New Moon!

I heard about the series this summer from a couple of podcasts. The story intrigued me, so I got out the first book. And couldn't put it down :-) I have since either read or listened to the other 3 and really, really enjoyed them even though they are supposed to be teenage-lit and I am far from being a teen.

Not sure how I feel about the movie. I haven't seen it yet, but I can't see how it can be like what I have in my head given that it isn't a huge production like, say, Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. Those were very close to what I had in my head.

I think I'll wait for it to come out on dvd and rent it.

Loved it. Loved the books even more. I think Breaking Dawn was one of my favorite—although bittersweet b/c once it was over it was OVER.

I put my thoughts about the film up on my blog yesterday.

I LOVED the books. I inhaled them. They are my own personal brand of heroin ;) I liked the movie. I was surprised at parts of it like I really liked Charlie's character in the movie. And parts of it I shouldn't have been surprised at but was like just how 'high school' the high schoolers were.
Some scenes were fantastic, loved the baseball scene. James nailed his character. And Victoria brought a lot more depth to her character than I got from reading the book.
I was slightly disappointed by the Meadow scene and the sparkling, the waitress in the restaurant where Edward and Bella ate, and the shoe and leggings part of her prom ensemble but those are me just being nitpicky.

Overall I was very pleased and think New Moon will be even better with a bigger budget.

I thought the movie was made terribly. It was low-budget, too emo, too much teen angst, bad/fake acting. There were good parts--like the baseball game! And James was HOT!! The characters were more of less how I pictured them, and most of the settings also, with the exception of the ultra-modern Cullen house, which is supposed to be humongous!! Anyway, I was terribly disappointed and I really hope the second movie has a better director and budget!

I read the whole series in about 4 days about two weeks ago after the reccomendation from a friend. I'm thrilled to see that they will more than likely make the second book into a movie. I was one of those people at the theater on friday who has bought her tickets in advance lol.

I certainly can not wait to see the second movie and hopefully the ones to come after.
