Weight Watchers Giveaway

About a year ago I had an epiphany.  I was fat.  By doctors terms I may have even been obese.  I was completely unhappy with how I looked and how I felt and decided that it was time that something was done.  After talking with different people about all kinds of diets and eating plans, I decided to try Weight Watchers Online.

I signed up for Weight Watchers Online because honestly going to meetings just didn't interest me.  I am a self-motivating person and if I set my mind on accomplishing something, then everybody watch out cause not much can stop me!! (Those of you who know me in real life can stop laughing now!) Online there were also some great tools and the techie in me had a blast using the point tracker, weight tracker, exercise tracker, recipe maker, message boards, and all the other cool E-tools.  I started tracking what I was eating and about a year later was 40lb lighter and feeling great.  I felt so great that I found myself tracking less and less so I decided to take a break and see what I could do on my own.  I did well for awhile, but lately noticed the weight coming back on.  There was no way I was going to let myself go down that road again so I decided to re-subscribe to lose the last 20 pounds and reach my final goal.J0430469

When you join Weight Watchers Online you have the ability to choose a food plan that works for you. You can choose either the Flex Plan where you are given a certain amount of points and can eat what you choose as long as you stay within your point range or the Core Plan where you can eat as much as you want as long as the food is a core food.

One thing about me.  I do NOT do well with somebody telling me I can't have something. So one guess what I chose. Yep, the flex plan so I can use points however I choose. Of course the more fruits and veggies I eat, the more food I am allowed since they are so low in points, but if I want that Oreo cookie, not a problem as long as I track it. The food tracker is a breeze to use to keep track of your points. The majority of the foods that I eat are already in their database so all I have to do is type in the name of the food and voila, I know how many points it is. If I'm making something special for dinner then I can use the recipe builder where I enter all the ingredients, how many servings it has, and then know exactly how many points the recipe is. Eating out.  Most of the food is already in there so I can check the menu online then use the tracker to find the best food for me. So easy!!

Why am I telling you all this?

I met a PR for Weight Watchers on Twitter the other day and she gave me three 3mo. subscriptions to Weight Watcher Online for me to giveaway to my readers.

So now you can have the opportunity to try out Weight Watchers Online for yourself and we can be Weight Watcher buddies! I am giving away one online subscription over at A Box of Chocolates, plus another at Chic Critique where I write about healthy, beauty and fashion, and most importantly you can win one RIGHT HERE!

All you have to do to win is leave a comment here telling me why you want to lose weight. I will use random.org to choose the lucky winner on Sunday, August 24th.

  1. I've been trying to loose weight for a while now (like 2 years) since my last pregnancy I am 40 lbs above my happy weight. I am on the limit from overweight to obese. I need this for myself and for my family. The kids deserve a happier mommy to play with :)

I had a really rough pregnancy culminating in pre-term labor and bedrest, and I gained more weight than was healthy during my pregnancy. I gave birth on June 5 (two weeks early) to a beautiful baby girl, Rowan. I'm having trouble shedding the extra weight, and since my new baby is colicky and very, very, very high-needs I don't have the time to take care of ME. I've been wanting to join Weight Watchers, but with my husband's layoff, we can't afford it. I want to be healthy and I want to feel good about myself again.

I want to lose because I am so ready to get preggo again and I don't want to 1) set myself up for a difficult pregnancy by being at an unhealthy weight and 2) make it even harder to lose after baby is born!

  5. I would love to see myself in a bathing suit and not be tired all the time. Thats why I want to lose weight.

  6. My excess weight has resulted in other health challenges, including HBP. I'd like to be able to come off the meds and be healthier. About 19 years ago, I followed the WW program and know it works. With my current situation, on-line would work better for me; I'd love the chance to try it for free!!!!

  8. I need to lose 65 pounds. I believe that Weight Watchers can be a healthy and permanent way for me to do it. I checked for a local meeting and unfortunately the nearest location is a 30 minute drive each way. With a busy family of 5 and the price of gas, local meetings are not an option for me. I really want to use the Weight Watchers Online program; however, I am hesitant because of the initial cost involved. The monthly fee is not the problem it's the extra registration fee. So I will give it a shot in hopes to win a subscription here, then I can keep it going by just paying the monthly fee. Thanks!

I was in the best shape of my life in 2005, back in a size 6 after 4 kids. Then I got pregnant again and diagnosed with breast cancer. After baby #5, chemo, radiation and continuing drug therapy I now weigh more than I did when I had all FIVE of my kids! I gotta do something to regain my energy, body & self image!

  10. I just had my 6th child and have 20 pounds to lose. I feel better when I'm at mt goal weight. Been nearly 4 years since I've seen that!

  13. I want to feel better, inside and out! To be "fit" instead of "fluffy!" Losing these extra pounds using weight watchers is the healthy thing to do!

  14. I don't want to be the "fat" mom anymore and I want my children to be proud of me.

  15. Hey there! I want to lose about 15 or so pounds, so this would be awesome! Please put in an entry for me. :) Blessings to you!
