PURPOSE is a funny thing, isn't it? It has been a "BUZZ" worthy word for the last couple of years. It has been something that we are in search of, and yet we have no clue what we are really looking for. Think about it. We ALL want to feel like we have a PURPOSE for our lives, but how many of us really stop long enough to find out what that PURPOSE is?
Let's take a few minutes to dissect this a bit…
According to Dictionary.com, this is what the "world" defines as PURPOSE:
pur·pose –
| 1. | the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc. |
But as believers we are here not for our own personal PURPOSE but for His. Look what I found about what God's Word says about PURPOSE.
But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. ~ Exodus 9:16
The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands. ~ Psalm 138:8
I don't know about you, but I want to live my life with a PASSIONATE PURPOSE for what God has called me to do, not necessarily what the world tells me to do. How do you do that? Good Question!
Take 30 minutes, TODAY, grab your Bible, go find a nice quiet place, take a journal and a pen, then go straight to the source. Ask God what you need to do to find your PURPOSE so you can live each day with a PASSIONATE PURPOSE!

Just the type of post I needed this morning here in the UK. I love the Lord but have still not found my purpose. Am going to grab my bible and find it with the Lors help.

Really great post. I prayerfully sought my "purpose" several years ago now and God didn't let me down! I feel I am starting to find "it"…the purpose I was seeking! There is nothing more exciting!
