First thing's first. If you haven't seen the movie Twilight. You simply must. This is easily one of my favorite movies. I. Loved. It.
Ok, now onto second topic. Any Grey's Fans out there? What do you think of the Izzie/Denny storyline?
I hate it.
I think it's a slap in the face to us that have lost a great love. They did something kinda the same over at Army Wives, bringing in a ghost to "help." Yeah, well, where is MY ghost? Again, I just think it's a slap in the face to all of us that had a great love pass away and I ALWAYS hate when shows do this. Unless it's a show THAT IS about "seeing beyond the dead" - just let the dead be dead and show the REAL pain and grief.
It is more likely that I work with a bunch of vampires and will fall in love with one who will fly me at record speeds to the top of a treetop than to ever see my best friend who passed away in real life flesh and blood ala Denny from Grey's.
Maybe I'm just bitter. Wait. I'm sure I'm bitter. But come on! Let me see Izzie deal with this the real life way so that the rest of us that are in her shoes can feel connected to her.
I know TV is supposed to help you escape the real world, but Grey's isn't a show that I want to take me on that ride. If I wanted to watch a show about ghost, I'd watch the Ghost Whisper instead.
Ok… I'm sure that you are ready to tar and feather me, eh?
But what is your whole take on the Izzie/Denny Storyline?
Janelle is the author of Junkfood4thesoul.com and has a PhD in celebrity gossip, or something like that.

I completely agree with you. I get that TV is supposed to be an escape from reality even reality TV is an escape, but Grey's is about real relationships with real doctors… ok maybe not real doctors but you know what I mean, right? I don't understand the plot line with Denny & Izzy this season. Are they trying to say Ghosts are real or that Izzy is crazy? I just don't see where this is going.
The whole Denny thing AAAAAAlmost has me changing the station. I hope they cut that crap out soon.
I couldn't agree more… it's ridiculous! Plus you gotta feel a little bit bad for Alex, he just got done with one crazy woman and now he has to deal with another one, Izzy…come on ABC!
Couldn't agree more! When she was seeing him in a couple of scenes, that was tolerable. But, now she's having sex with him???!!! Unless they have a smart ending to this story, I think they've gone too far.
Twilight however… now that is a beautiful movie. I saw it on Saturday and have drifted into thoughts of it numerous times since.
At this moment I am hating Grey's for ALL the storylines. It gets more and more unbelievable and ridiculous. The only character I like is Bailey. Everyone else has been reduced to … oh I don't know… rubble?
I loved Twilight except for these:
1. Rosalie's ass
2. Jasper's "Edward Scissorhands" expression
3. Stephenie's "cameo" which was so obvious
4. Not enough of the Cullen family
5. I do not like the casting for Jacob. Come on, he isn't even NATIVE.
Actually, I like the Jacob casting because the guy is from West Michigan, so it's kind of a big deal around here. No, he's not native, but the oddball thing is, he's so far from how I PICTURED Jacob that I actually *liked* Jacob in the movie – he looks so sweet and nice, and I have been straight up "Team Edward" from the beginning.
On the way home from the movie, my mom asked, "So, what happens when Bella gets her period?" That's my mom for ya.
Katie- Anybody who completely agrees with me, I love them right away!
The Other Dawn- I agree! the last one where she was in bed with Denny, I was just about to change the channel as well.
Tori- I know! What about Alex? Can we get him a sane woman? Cast Me! Cast Me!
Susan- Awe, didn't you love Twilight? I am thinking of seeing it again and I never do that!
Lianne/Celia, Darling!- I have not read any of the Twilight books, so I had nothing to compare the movie to. However, my friends who have read the book and then went to see the movie were a bit disappointed.
SarahB- Maybe we will find out the answer to your question in the next movie, LOL.
I think I am done with Grey's completely now. It was just too ridiculous last week.
I don't think it ever came up in the books, though… Hmmph.
ok, here's my theory on the whole izzy/denny plot: i think(more like hope) that they are getting ready to kill izzy off. when she asks denny why he is there, he responds that he is there "for her". i am hoping that means that he is there to take her back with him and that is why she can see him…like a dying person seeing dead people before they die. i know that this is way far fetched but i really hope that i am reaching in the right direction because that storyline has got to end for my sanity's sake!
I couldn't agree more. Frankly Grey's Anatomy gets more and more unbelievable the more I watch it. Of course I keep watching it but there is a lot more tongue clucking slipping from my mouth as I watch…..
I still haven't seen the Twilight movie though……..both my kids hated it after reading the books, so now I'm afraid.
