New Year’s Eve 1992. This was the year that my husband and I rang in the New Year in San Francisco. One image from that New Year’s Eve that has forever stuck with me is how the streets looked covered with calendar pages. Tradition was for the office workers to throw their desk calendars out the windows on New Year’s Eve. Apparently everyone enjoyed this tradition. I am not sure if this is still the tradition but if it is I bet that office workers who had Asgard calendars would think twice before throwing them out the window.

That is just what Asgard Press is hoping for: Sick of seeing all the waste from the millions of calendars produced, bought, and discarded each year, Asgard set a goal to create a series of calendars that people would think twice before throwing away at the end of the season.
The vintage pictures used in Asgard’s college football calendars are beautiful reproductions of actual souvenir game day program covers from more than 60 of the top football colleges across the country.

Asgard also has a Vintage DC Comic and Mad Magazine line of calendars; both of which are equally as “cool” of the football line.
All Asgard’s oversized, eco-friendly calendars are produced with:
- 100% recycled heavy weight stock paper
- soy-based inks
Each page is perforated so it can be removed easily to fit any standard 11 x 14 frame.

Maybe we should send a few Asgard eco-friendly calendars to the office workers in San Fran…
